Replicate Sylphae's Blind
›
Active
Unwound / Main Quest
Immediate focus: Establish a new source of antilumium so Sylphae's Blind can eventually be replicated.
45%
Replicate Sylphae's Blind
›
45%
Current position
Sylphae's Blind is an antilumium rod with enormous strategic value to the Unwound. Replication requires a reliable supply of antilumium, and Wulfric has put out a Main Quest to establish a new mine. Larkyn has taken up the objective.
Next move
Support the Main Quest, secure a viable antilumium source, and then determine what will be required to reproduce the rod.
Stakes
A replicable tool capable of interfering with the Loom's reach could dramatically improve the Unwound's ability to protect people and operate safely.
Relevant people
- Larkyn He took up the Main Quest to establish a new antilumium mine.
- Sylphae Sylphae's Blind is the original item Wulfric ultimately wants to reproduce.
- The Unwound A reliable supply of antilumium and additional rods would benefit the organization as a whole.
Threads
Notes
This aspiration can evolve in stages as the mine is established, the original rod is better understood, and replication becomes possible.
Recruit Kalem
›
Active
Unwound / Recruitment
Immediate focus: Determine whether Kalem can be safely brought into the Unwound.
25%
Recruit Kalem
›
25%
Current position
Kalem is a current recruitment target, but Wulfric cannot simply hand him the truth. Trust, loyalties, risk of exposure, and Kalem's likely response all have to be weighed first.
Next move
Build trust, learn more about Kalem's stance, and choose the right opportunity to test whether he is ready for the truth.
Stakes
Every successful recruit strengthens the Unwound, while a failed approach could expose people, operations, and information that cannot safely reach the Loom.
Relevant people
- Kalem The current person Wulfric is considering for recruitment.
- The Unwound Any recruitment decision has consequences for the safety of the wider organization.
Threads
Notes
This is a rotating current branch of Wulfric's broader long-term goal to grow the Unwound.
Protect His Memories From the Loom
›
Active
Personal / Character Quest
Immediate focus: Find a way to prevent the Loom from accessing, altering, or taking Wulfric's memories.
25%
Protect His Memories From the Loom
›
25%
Current position
Wulfric is actively pursuing a Character Quest centered on protecting his memories. They hold centuries of his life as well as secrets about the Unwound, Solaris, and the people closest to him, making the Loom's access to them unacceptable.
Next move
Continue the Character Quest and follow whatever means of protection it reveals.
Stakes
The loss or violation of Wulfric's memories would be devastating. To Devlin, to Solaris, to the Unwound, to the City. This is a dire need.
Relevant people
- Solaris She shares an ancient bond with Wulfric and is inseparable from the question of what belongs inside his mind.
- Devlin One of the people whose safety and secrets could be endangered if Wulfric's memories were compromised.
- The Loom The threat Wulfric is trying to shut out of his mind permanently.
Threads
Notes
This remains active until the Character Quest resolves or circumstances change in character.
Gain Access to His Variant Magic
›
Active / Unaware
Magic / Character Quest
Immediate focus: Follow an active Character Quest that is opening a path toward Wulfric's inaccessible Variant magic, even though he does not yet know that possibility exists.
30%
Gain Access to His Variant Magic
›
30%
Current position
Wulfric has lived for centuries without access to this part of his magic. The Character Quest is moving that possibility into reach, but from his point of view nothing has changed yet.
Next move
Continue the Character Quest until the existence of the suppressed magic, and a way to reach it, becomes apparent.
Stakes
Access would restore a part of Wulfric that has remained unavailable to him and fundamentally change his understanding of his own abilities.
Relevant people
Threads
Notes
This is an OOC-active aspiration rather than something Wulfric is consciously pursuing in character.
1 / 4
Handwritten note goes here.
Short-Term›
Strengthen His Kinetic Ring›
ActiveMagic ItemUpgradeStructured
Objective: Continue upgrading Wulfric's kinetic ring into a stronger and more reliable combat tool.
TBD
Strengthen His Kinetic Ring
›TBD
Current position
Wulfric already owns and uses the ring, but its full potential has not yet been reached.
Steps / milestones
- Determine the next available upgrade tier.
- Gather any required currency, materials, or crafting access.
- Complete the next upgrade and reassess what the ring still needs.
Next move
Pursue the next upgrade when the system and resources make it practical.
Complications
Other equipment, magic, and Unwound priorities compete for the same resources and attention.
Relevant people
Threads
Notes
This is a straightforward in-character equipment goal rather than a hidden plot objective.
Purchase the Brighthollow Rowhouse›
ActiveHome / PersonalAcquisitionStructured
Objective: Purchase Wulfric's former childhood home on Brighthollow Terrace and make it a safer, quieter place to live than his well-known apartment.
TBD
Purchase the Brighthollow Rowhouse
›TBD
Current position
The rowhouse is one of Wulfric's oldest personal ties to Embrathis. He wants the actual house, not merely property on Brighthollow, both for its emotional significance and for the privacy it could offer.
Steps / milestones
- Determine what is required to purchase the property.
- Secure the funds and ownership.
- Begin turning the rowhouse into a genuinely safe home.
Next move
Move from wanting the house to making ownership possible in character.
Complications
The house carries history, and making any home truly safe while Wulfric leads the Unwound is never as simple as buying a door and a key.
Relevant people
Threads
Notes
The house is also the foundation for a separate magic-item wishlist centered on progressively enchanting the property.
1 / 2
The Loom doesn't just kill people. It steals from them.
Long-Term›
Establish a Hand-to-Hand Combat Guild›
DormantPersonal / CommunityOrganization
Long view: Create a dedicated guild for hand-to-hand combat training, sparring, teaching, and improvement outside formal military or Keeper structures.
TBD
Establish a Hand-to-Hand Combat Guild
›TBD
Current position
The idea exists, but Wulfric is not actively building it yet.
Momentum
Dormant
Progress log
Catalysts
A suitable location, interested fighters, potential instructors, enough stability to maintain it, and the resources to establish a formal organization.
Obstacles
Time, secrecy, Wulfric's responsibilities to the Unwound, and whatever requirements come with establishing a public guild.
Relevant people
Threads
Notes
It may or may not remain quite as respectable as the word guild implies.
Grow the Unwound›
ActiveUnwound / LeadershipOngoing
Long view: Bring as many people safely into the truth as possible, free Deviants and Variants from Treatment, and strengthen the rebellion one person at a time.
TBD
Grow the Unwound
›TBD
Current position
Recruitment and detox are permanent parts of Wulfric's work as Rendwarden. Individual active recruitment targets belong under Current Focus while the larger aspiration remains here.
Momentum
Active
Progress log
Catalysts
Trustworthy candidates, successful detoxes, proof that can be safely shared, and existing members willing to help bring others in.
Obstacles
Exposure, Loom surveillance, fear, failed recruitment, and the limited capacity required to detox and support new members safely.
Relevant people
- The Unwound The people Wulfric is responsible for protecting, leading, and slowly growing.
Threads
Notes
This is an ongoing aspiration with no fixed finish line while people remain under the Loom's control.
Find and Defeat Sylphae's Cult›
ActiveUnwound / ConflictThreat
Long view: Uncover the full extent of Sylphae's cult, understand what it is trying to accomplish, and dismantle the threat.
TBD
Find and Defeat Sylphae's Cult
›TBD
Current position
The cult is an active danger, but its full reach, leadership, resources, membership, and plans are not yet known.
Momentum
Active
Progress log
Catalysts
New intelligence, captured cultists, recovered records, Main Quest discoveries, and any mistake that exposes the cult's structure or intentions.
Obstacles
Secrecy, incomplete information, hidden members, uncertain reach, and the possibility that the cult understands threats the Unwound does not yet see clearly.
Relevant people
- Sylphae The figure at the center of the threat and the source of the cult's influence.
- The Unwound The organization Wulfric is responsible for protecting from the cult's reach.
Threads
Notes
The goal is not merely to survive attacks from the cult, but to understand and end the threat at its source.
Defeat the Loom›
ActiveUnwound / WorldEndgame
Long view: End the Loom's control over Embrathis and dismantle the system built around its rule.
TBD
Defeat the Loom
›TBD
Current position
The Unwound is still fighting from secrecy and does not yet possess the knowledge, power, or opportunity required for a direct victory.
Momentum
Stirring
Progress log
Catalysts
Learning the Loom's true nature, weakening its control, gaining allies and tools, exposing the truth, and eventually creating a viable opportunity for confrontation.
Obstacles
The Loom's power, institutional control, public devotion, the Boundary, and the catastrophic risk of exposing the Unwound before it is ready.
Relevant people
- The Loom The central enemy Wulfric ultimately wants to see defeated.
- The Unwound The rebellion Wulfric helps lead against the Loom's control.
Threads
Notes
This is one of Wulfric's broadest endgame aspirations and may require many smaller goals to be completed first.
Escape Embrathis›
ActiveFreedom / ExplorationEndgame
Long view: Find a way beyond the Boundary and make true escape from Embrathis possible.
TBD
Escape Embrathis
›TBD
Current position
Escape has long been one of the Unwound's most difficult goals. No safe, reliable route beyond the Boundary is currently known.
Momentum
Stirring
Progress log
Catalysts
Discoveries about the Boundary, dragon knowledge, rare tools, successful experiments, and any shift in the Loom's ability to control the city's edges.
Obstacles
The Boundary itself, uncertainty about what exists outside it, the Loom, and the danger of testing possible escape methods.
Relevant people
Threads
Notes
This remains separate from defeating the Loom. Wulfric wants freedom beyond Embrathis even if the two goals eventually become intertwined.
Make It Safe for Him and Devlin to Be Together›
ActivePersonal / RelationshipFreedom
Long view: Reach a future where Wulfric and Devlin can be together openly and safely without their relationship becoming a weapon against themselves or the people around them.
TBD
Make It Safe for Him and Devlin to Be Together
›TBD
Current position
The relationship exists beneath secrecy, political danger, the Loom's scrutiny, and the risks created by both men's positions. Being together is possible. Being together freely is not.
Momentum
Active
Progress log
Catalysts
Greater personal safety, changes in Devlin's position, progress against the Loom, reduced leverage over either of them, and a future where both can choose openly.
Obstacles
The Loom, Determination Day, Devlin's position, Wulfric's leadership of the Unwound, secrecy, and the danger of either man being used against the other.
Relevant people
- Devlin The person at the heart of the aspiration, and the man Wulfric wants the freedom to choose without fear.
- The Loom The largest external threat preventing that freedom from being simple or safe.
Threads
Notes
The goal is not merely to define the relationship, but to make the world around it safe enough that definition can actually be lived.
Find a Way to Make Blink Immortal›
ActivePersonal / FamilyPreservation
Long view: Find some way to make Blink immortal, or otherwise ensure that her life can continue alongside Wulfric's indefinitely.
TBD
Find a Way to Make Blink Immortal
›TBD
Current position
Wulfric does not currently know whether such a thing is possible, let alone how it could be accomplished.
Momentum
Stirring
Progress log
Catalysts
Discoveries involving immortality, transformative magic, magical creatures, relics, alchemy, or other means of extending life.
Obstacles
No known method, uncertain consequences, and the possibility that magic capable of altering a creature's natural lifespan may be extraordinarily rare or dangerous.
Relevant people
- Blink The entire reason the aspiration exists. Wulfric wants her, specifically, to remain herself and remain with him.
- Solaris An immortal dragon whose knowledge and nature may someday matter to the question.
Threads
Notes
Whatever solution he finds has to preserve Blink as Blink. Simply keeping her alive is not enough if the cost changes who she is.

◇
Radiant Brass Knuckles
Description
Wulfric wants to enhance the brass knuckles Dorian gave him with radiant magic, strengthening their impact without changing what they are.
Speculated / suggested mechanics
- Adds radiant impact damage on top of normal weapon damage.
- Can gather light for a powerfully charged strike.
- Charged attacks may cause a brief blinding effect.
- Charged attacks may create knock-back on impact.
- Higher tiers may improve the strength, reliability, or frequency of these effects.
◇
Enchanted Light Armor
Description
A fitted black or charcoal suit of enchanted light armor stored within a dark metal ring accented with antique gold. When activated, the armor magically unfurls from the ring and wraps itself around Wulfric's body in overlapping layers. When struck, it briefly hardens into scale-like plates around the point of impact before becoming flexible again.
Speculated / suggested mechanics
- Functions as light armor with heavy armor protection.
- Can be summoned from or stored within the ring.
- May later upgrade to provide an additional AC or CON bonus.
- AC path: faster reactive hardening and broader protective plating.
- CON path: disperses impact and shock through the armor to help Wulfric withstand heavier punishment.
◇
Brighthollow Rowhouse
Description
Wulfric wants to progressively enchant his childhood home on Brighthollow Terrace until the house itself can actively care for and protect its occupants.
Speculated / suggested mechanics
- Tier One: telekinetically cleans, cooks, handles dishes and coats, brings requested objects, adjusts lanterns, locks doors, and performs other simple household tasks.
- Tier Two: gains magical defenses, allowing the house to recognize threats and protect its occupants through wards, reinforced barriers, telekinetic interference, or similar responses.
- Tier Three: removes an uninvited intruder into an empty magical echo of the house; leaving that vacant copy returns them to the same street outside the real home.
◇
Drakevoice Collar
Description
An enchanted collar for Blink that translates her existing thoughts, intentions, and feelings into spoken words without altering her natural intelligence or personality.
Speculated / suggested mechanics
- Translates Blink's thoughts into audible speech.
- Does not increase intelligence, reasoning, or understanding.
- Can only express concepts Blink herself already understands.
- Preserves her natural personality and manner of thinking rather than giving her artificially sophisticated speech.
- May translate simple emotions or intentions when no exact words exist.
◇
Enchanted Bicep Band
Description
A fitted leather band worn around Wulfric's upper arm, understated enough for everyday wear but enchanted to reinforce his physical endurance.
Speculated / suggested mechanics
- Provides a CON bonus.
- May help Wulfric withstand exhaustion, injury, or physical strain.
- The leather may briefly tighten or warm when the enchantment is actively supporting him.
- Higher tiers could increase the CON bonus or improve resistance to being physically worn down.
1 / 5
-
Protective Passive Magic›A passive magical effect centered on Wulfric that helps protect nearby allies from unwanted mental influence. Allies within range could gain resistance similar mind-altering effects.
-
Triple-Stacked Magic›Eventually stack a third magical source into Wulfric's existing magic, but only after his Variant and Bonded magic are fully developed. The exact third source and resulting interactions can remain undecided until the system gives him a worthwhile path.
-
Solaris: Major Magical Feat›Give Solaris access to one extraordinary magical feat beyond her breath weapon. It may be combat magic, healing, protection, restoration, or something stranger; the important part is that it is enormous in scale and rare enough to be used only about once per year.
-
Custom Pipe for Devlin›Wulfric wants to personally craft Devlin a one-of-a-kind pipe designed around his tastes and made specifically to counter his ridiculous moonweed tolerance. It should help him feel the full effects, burn efficiently, keep moonweed fresh, and carry some personal detail meaningful to the two of them.
-
Experience Flight›Wulfric wants to experience true flight at least once, whether through magic, a magical creature, or some other opportunity. Not falling, not being thrown through the air, and preferably not during a catastrophe. Just flying for the sake of it.
-
Get Ynes to Smoke Moonweed›Wulfric wants to eventually convince Ynes to smoke moonweed with him and Devlin at least once, somewhere safe and relaxed where nobody has anything important to do afterward. Entirely voluntary. Entirely for the experience.
-
Get a Photograph of Devlin›Cameras are still a relatively new development in Embrathis, and Wulfric wants a photograph of Devlin that he can keep as a tangible record of him.
OOC›
Fully Upgrade His Magic Items
Eventually bring Wulfric's existing magic items to their highest useful tiers rather than leaving core equipment half-developed.
Fully Develop His Magic
Upgrade Wulfric's available magic as far as the system allows and fully realize each magical source he gains access to.
Learn All Available Skills
Eventually unlock the full set of skills that fit Wulfric's completed magical paths and build.
Buy Additional Stats
Use future progression opportunities to purchase additional stats where useful, with exact priorities left open as Wulfric's build develops.
Grow a Beneficial Rare Plant
Raise Wulfric's INT enough to learn how to cultivate a rare, highly beneficial plant and reliably grow it himself.
Upgrade the Combat Guild
Once Wulfric's hand-to-hand combat guild exists, upgrade it into a mechanically beneficial organization that provides some form of stat bonus or training benefit to its members.
Earn a Legend Title
Advance Wulfric far enough to earn a formal Legend Title, whatever form that title ultimately takes.
Expand His Found Family
Continue building the circle of people Wulfric considers family, creating more lasting bonds and allowing more people fully into his life.
Resolve His Relationship with Devlin
Bring Wulfric and Devlin's complicated relationship to a place where they can finally define what they are, confront what has kept them apart, and choose what comes next together.
Fight Caen One-on-One and Win
Give Wulfric the chance to face Caen directly without someone else deciding the outcome for him, and win the encounter on his own terms.
Become a Father
Allow Wulfric to finally confront a deeply buried desire he has never permitted himself to seriously entertain: becoming a father. His immortality has always made the idea feel impossible, forcing him to bury the want rather than face the prospect of inevitably outliving his own child.
Convert Gurvand to the Unwound
Bring Gurvand, the Runeweaver and head of the Sergekeepers, into the Unwound and convince him to reject the Loom's control.
Earn QotM More Often
Write more memorable Wulfric moments and lines that resonate strongly enough with other members to earn Quote of the Month recognition more often.
Fully Style Wulfric's Profile
Completely customize Wulfric's profile to match his aesthetic and character, including the Brighthollow commission as his header and a dedicated art gallery.
