Profile Tabs Overview

Your character profile contains two tabs used to keep track of the mechanical side of your character: the Inventory and the Tracker.

Your Inventory is a current record of what your character owns and may have available during mechanically relevant play. This includes weapons, armor, magic items, crafting components, consumables, companions, and other important belongings.

Your Tracker records your character's mechanical progression and changes over time. This is where you will keep your stats, training progress, magic tier progression, earned skills and shifts, and any active buffs, debuffs, or injuries.

These tabs are not static application fields. After your character is approved, continue updating them as your character gains, loses, uses, earns, or changes things through play. They are used by both you and staff as a quick reference during quests, events, and other mechanical threads.

Updating After Approval

Your Inventory and Tracker should grow with your character.

Update them whenever something mechanically relevant changes. This includes gaining or losing items, using consumables, spending crafting components, earning stat increases, progressing in magic, gaining a new skill or shift, receiving a quest reward, or being given an injury or other temporary mechanical effect.

If an item is traded, lost, destroyed, or consumed, update the Inventory accordingly. If your character earns a new ability, progression milestone, stat change, or condition, update the Tracker.

Whenever the change had to be earned, purchased, discovered, rewarded, trained, or approved, include the appropriate proof link. See the Proof Links section below for more information.

Inventory

Inventory Tab

The Inventory tab records what your character currently owns.

Its primary purpose is mechanical reference, but you are welcome to include important personal belongings as well. You do not need to list every ordinary possession your character could reasonably own. Focus on equipment, earned items, useful resources, important companions, and belongings that matter to play.

When something is gained, add it. When something is permanently lost, traded, destroyed, spent, or consumed, update the entry so the Inventory continues to reflect what your character actually has available.

Equipment

Weapons

List the weapons your character owns and may use during mechanical play.

Include enough information to identify what the weapon is, including any unusual material or properties that staff may need to know about.

Ordinary weapons may be owned freely, but rare materials or magical properties require the appropriate approval. If a weapon has magical effects, those effects should also be recorded with the item's approved tier and wording under Magic Items.

For attack stats, weapon-related stat rules, and other combat mechanics, see the Stats & AC Guide.

Armor

List any armor your character owns and may wear during mechanical play. Include the type of armor and any unusual material or properties that may be mechanically relevant.

Armor is used when determining your character's Armor Class during combat and other applicable events. The Inventory only needs to record what armor your character possesses; the rules for calculating and using AC belong on the Stats & AC Guide.

Rare materials and magical armor require the appropriate approval. If armor also functions as a magic item, include its approved tier and effects under Magic Items.

Magic Items

Magic Items

Record every magic item your character currently owns.

For each item, include its name, tier, approved effect, and any limited uses or other restrictions that apply. Keep the wording consistent with the version that was approved or awarded.

Magic items must be earned, purchased, received as a reward, created through approved Thaumaturgy crafting, or otherwise obtained through staff-approved play. They cannot simply be added as starting equipment.

Include a proof link showing where the item came from. If the item is later upgraded, update its tier and effects after the upgrade has been completed and approved.

For information on magic item mechanics and magical progression, see the Magic System.

Components

Components

Use this field to track crafting components your character currently possesses.

List the component and, when relevant, the quantity available. Add newly harvested, discovered, purchased, traded, or rewarded components as they are gained, and reduce or remove them when they are spent.

Components earned through mechanical play should include a proof link showing where they came from.

For rules on finding components, harvesting, recipes, cultivation, and crafting, see the Crafting Guide.

Consumables

Consumables

Track potions, poisons, salves, poultices, and other consumable items here.

Include the item's name, quantity, and any approved mechanical effect or tier that applies. When a consumable is used, traded, destroyed, or otherwise removed from your character's possession, update the quantity accordingly.

If the consumable was crafted, purchased, rewarded, or otherwise mechanically obtained, include proof of where it came from.

For rules on creating consumables and using crafting components, see the Crafting Guide.

Companions

Companions & Pets

Use this field for animals, creatures, familiars, mounts, and other companions associated with your character.

Ordinary pets may have a simple description. For companions that have mechanical abilities or may participate in quests and other mechanical threads, include the information staff will need to identify what the companion can do.

Keep this field current when a companion is gained, lost, or otherwise changes in a mechanically relevant way.

Companions brought into quests or other high-risk mechanical scenes should also be declared when the thread's rules require it.

Other Items

Other Items

This field is for important belongings that do not fit cleanly into another Inventory category.

You may use it for mundane personal items, quest rewards without their own category, important tools, unusual possessions, or objects that matter to your character's story.

You do not need to inventory every ordinary possession your character owns. If an item has a mechanical effect, however, make sure that effect is recorded in the appropriate mechanical section rather than hidden only inside a flavor description.

Tracker

Tracker Tab

The Tracker records your character's mechanical progression.

Where the Inventory answers what does my character have?, the Tracker answers what has my character earned, completed, changed, or currently has in progress?

Use it to keep your current stats, training, magic progression, skills, shifts, and active mechanical conditions in one place. Whenever possible, place proof links beside the progression they belong to so staff can verify changes quickly.

Stats

Stats

Stats are required.

Enter your character's approved stat spread here and keep it current as verified increases or penalties occur.

Once a character has been approved, their existing stat points may not simply be redistributed into different stats. New changes should come through the site's normal progression systems or other staff-approved effects.

For starting stat allocation, stat functions, modifiers, Armor Class, training requirements, and other stat mechanics, see the Stats & AC Guide.

Training

Training Progress

Track any Training threads being used for stat progression or injury recovery here.

For each Training thread, include:

• The thread title or a short description
• A link to the thread
• Whether the training is Mental or Physical
• What the training is being used toward

If a Training thread is specifically required to recover from an injury, identify it as recovery training and note the injury it belongs to.

The Tracker records your progress and proof. The rules governing what qualifies as Training, post requirements, seasonal limits, stat rewards, and injury recovery are explained on the Stats & AC Guide.

Tiers

Tier Progression

Use this field to record your character's current magic tier and their progress toward the next available tier.

When your character earns a tier upgrade, update the Tracker to show their new tier and include proof of the upgrade where applicable.

The Tracker does not need to reproduce the full progression rules. Post requirements, Determination Day upgrades, alternate upgrade methods, and tier mechanics belong on the Magic System.

Skills

Skills

Record mechanical skills your character earns through the Skill Web, quests, rewards, or other approved progression.

Include the skill's name and any approved effect or wording necessary to understand what it does. If the skill was earned through a thread, quest, purchase, or other mechanical source, include the appropriate proof link.

For Skill Web progression and magic-related skill rules, see the Magic System.

Shifts

Shifts

Shifter characters should use this field to keep a current record of every animal or creature form they can take.

Include the character's starting shifts as well as every additional form earned later.

When a new shift is earned through roleplay, include a link to the thread containing the qualifying interaction with that animal or creature. If a shift is gained through another approved method, include the appropriate proof instead.

For rules on gaining shifts, seasonal limits, eligible creatures, and how Shifter forms function mechanically, see the Magic System.

Conditions

Buffs, Debuffs, And Injuries

Record any current mechanical effect that temporarily or permanently changes how your character functions.

This includes buffs, debuffs, Lingering Injuries, stat penalties, and other conditions assigned through quests, events, items, magic, or staff rulings.

For an injury, include the injury itself, any mechanical penalty staff assigned to it, and any required recovery Training. Keep unresolved injuries visible until the recovery requirements have been completed and reviewed.

Use proof links for the thread, quest, or ruling that created the condition and for any required recovery work.

For Lingering Injury and recovery mechanics, see the Stats & AC Guide.
